Job Description

Would you like to be part of an exciting Basketball club based in the North and East London area?

We are looking to recruit someone that is able to commence their training immediately and is able to work Monday-Sunday desirable.
There are initially 10-15 hours a week, however, there is an opportunity to pick up additional hours at other venues in London.
Currently, we are looking to recruit for the position of Lead Coach and assistant coach for our fantastic Basketball programme.

The Role (in brief):
– To prepare creative, fun, and educational session plans for children aged 3-16yrs old. Session plans must be progressive and focus on developing motor skills and cognitive skills through basketball.
– To welcome and acknowledge all participants upon arrival of each class with enthusiasm.
– Take the attendance register.
– To inspire and engage with the children in your classes.
– Design and deliver lesson plans in a fun and structured environment using equipment and apparatus provided.

Any other duties as required. Cruz is looking for:

A coaching qualification is essential, experience in working with children 3 to 16 years old is also desirable. You need to have an outgoing personality, a can-do attitude, and enjoy working with young people.
Qualifications and Skills:
– A cross between a fantastic sports coach and a party entertainer
– Boundless enthusiasm and energy
– Confident, patient and out-going
– 100% reliable and have a genuine desire to offer young children a positive introduction to the sport
– Excellent verbal communication skills
*Enhanced DBS check
*Pediatric first aid certificate
*Child safeguarding certificate
*Available to work on weekends
*Experience working with kids ages 3 to 6 years old
*Can do attitude
– Clean driver’s license, access to own vehicle, and able to travel across our region
– Must satisfy relevant pre-employment checks including two current references relevant to the position
– Passionate about inspiring children to develop a love of sport
– Must be reliable and flexible.
