Fractures, Tears and Ruptures: Injuries like fractures, ligament tears, and tendon ruptures are common among athletes due to the physical demands of sport. The injury cover package is designed to provide financial support, should someone have an injury listed by the provider. There are 29 different types of fractures and/or categories of joint dislocations, achilles tendon ruptures, and knee ligament tears. The payout varies based on the severity of the injury, benefit levels can range from £2,000 to £6,000. With more serious injuries commanding higher payouts, ensuring athletes receive adequate financial support for their specific situation. Within the fracture cover element of Injury Cover, you can claim multiple time per yer up to a maximum of £6,000.
Support for Recovery: While some fractures may be minor, others can lead to significant medical expenses and time away from training and competition. The primary goal of injury cover is to eliminate the financial stress that often accompanies injuries. This allows athletes to recover with peace of mind, knowing that their financial needs are taken care of. In essence you could use the benefit amount to pay for private treatment, to ensure to get the best care and the quickest treatment.
Coverage Beyond Physical Injuries: Athletes, like everyone else, are not immune to critical illnesses. It’s important to have protection place for the curveballs that can come your way off the pitch or court. This package extends protection to include critical illnesses such as cancer, heart attacks, strokes, and much more, providing additional security for athletes’ health. If you were to be diagnosed with an illness listed in the policy, you would receive £30,000 (The sum assured can be altered based on you needs).

This package provides Joe with financial protection should get injured or be diagnosed with a critical illness for £5 per week (price can vary depending on age and health). In the event of a fractured ankle he would receive a £6000 pay out and if he was to be diagnosed with a listed critical illness like cancer he would receive £50,000.
What’s not covered:
- Fractures: Fractures medically described as Avulsion, Hairline, Fatigue, Chip, Micro or Stress fractures.
- First 7 days: Claims for injuries that happen in the first seven days of the policy start date.
- Injuries sustained in the following sports: Extreme sports (Mountain Boarding, Parkour, Cliff Jumping etc.), Gaelic
Football, Hurling and Shinty, Horse Riding, Martial Arts, Boxing, Cage Fighting, Motor car or Motorcycle Sport, Rugby,
Skiing and Snowboarding.
