Trish has worked as a sport psychology practitioner across a range of different levels in sport, from grassroots through to national and international levels. She has experience in a range of sports, including football, swimming, trampolining, squash, running, Gaelic games, and powerlifting. Her work in sport involves supporting individual athletes through 1-2-1 consultations. In addition, Trish also works with a range of other individuals and groups in sport, including coaches, parents and sport science personnel. She has worked as an embedded practitioner in sport clubs, with her systemic approach to practice seeking to create psychologically-informed environments that enable individuals and groups to thrive as people and performers.
Trish also has experience as an exercise psychology practitioner, working with people who are interested in becoming more physically active or have encountered challenges with engaging in physical activity in the way they once did (e.g., due to injury or a health condition). Trish provides services in person and online.
Trish chose a career in sport and exercise psychology through a love of sport and physical activity, born from her own sporting background in the Irish sport of “camogie”, which she played for over 20 years, before taking up distance running.

An established researcher in sport and exercise psychology, Trish’s prides herself on being an evidence-based practitioner. Trish is also the Deputy Chair and CPD Representative for the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) Psychology Division.
